PhilHealth Express Launched


                      "We will make possible the impossible"THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently launched PhilHealth Express sites at Robinson's Land Corporation Malls in Metro East, Otis and at SM Sucat Hypermart in addition to the existing 8 PhilHealth Express in key areas of Robinson’s at Ortigas, Manila, Novaliches Market, Dasmariñas Cavite, Starmills Pampanga, Luisita, Tarlac, Tacloban, Leyte and Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The launching ceremony was led by PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Eduardo P. Banzon and Board Member for Filipino Overseas Workers Jane M.N. Sta. Ana together with other key officers. On the side of Robinson’s Land Corporation, present were its President Mr. Frederick Go and General Manager Ms. Arlene Magtibay.
PhilHealth Express provides services such as PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN), ID and Member Data Record (MDR) generation, data amendment, premium collection and information kiosk for walk-in inquiries.
Dr. Banzon believes that providing for more transaction sites and making services easier and more convenient is a one-step closer to achieving our commitment of universal health care, thus, "We should make convenient as possible, to all Filipinos, the processes of membership enrollment, payment mechanism, getting information or any other transactions on PhilHealth."He also cited malls as a great opportunity in bringing PhilHealth closer to the people "because this is the place where most Filipinos go to for any and all transactions. Rest assured that PhilHealth shall also be there," Banzon said.
On the other hand, Mr. Frederick Go, President of RLC said that, “We have put together many government offices together to serve the public and of course a very critical and important component of this Lingkod Pinoy program is to have your PhilHealth Express with us in our malls. He added that, "We already have 10 PhilHealth Express outlets open in our malls from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and I understand that another nine to come." Mr. Go also testified as one of the availees of Philhealth benefits, "I'm actually very impressed with the work of PhilHealth, all these programs you have in place I personally have availed of it when my wife gave birth to my children and I’m a testament to the efficiency of PhilHealth. I think all your programs can make our President proud and our country proud."The PhilHealth Chief assured the public that, "Because it is clear to us that all Filipinos must be a PhilHealth member, expect to have PhilHealth express in every Robinson’s Mall."

The management also plans to open PhilHealth Express in other key areas/locations other than malls such as key MRT and LRT operations, major City Halls, and other area with high-volume of foot-traffic. (END)
