Report: Pinay, Chinese abducted at floating resort off Sabah
Armed men abducted a Filipina and a Chinese woman at a floating resort off Semporna in Sabah Wednesday night, a Malaysian news site reported Thursday.
New Straits Times quoted Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) director general Datuk Mohammad Mentek as saying the abduction occurred at 10:30 p.m. at the resort jetty.
The report said one of the men was armed with a pistol, adding the jetty was the was the furthest point from the resort, which is built on stilts in shallow waters.
It said the resort is less than 30 minutes by boat from Semporna town.
