Remains of Pinay student Jastine Valdez arrive in PHL

The remains of 24-year-old Filipina student Jastine Valdez arrived at the Clark International Airport on Wednesday evening.
Officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) escorted her remains from the airport in Pampanga to Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya, her hometown.
According to Alexander Cauguiran, Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) president and chief executive officer, Valdez’s remains were accompanied by her parents and Philippine Honorary Consul in Dublin Mark Christopher Congdon, along with DFA Acting Assistant Secretary Elmer Cato.
Cauguiran said he and other CIAC officials met the victim's parents, Teresita and Danilo, and representatives from the DFA Office of Migrant Workers Affairs upon arrival at the Clark airport at around 6:40 in the evening.
Valdez was reportedly strangled by her abductor, who was killed in an encounter with police a day after he abducted the Filipina.
She is survived by her parents and was commemorated with a candlelight vigil by residents and the Filipino community in Enniskerry and neighboring villages in the Irish countryside
