Friends of drowned couple in Maldives have started a fundraising campaign to bring remains back to PHL
Friends of the newly-wed Pinoy couple who drowned while snorkeling in the Maldives have started a fundraising campaign to aid the repatriation of their remains back to the Philippines.
A GoGetFunding page has been set up to help raise the P1,268,000.00 needed. Their remains each cost P634,000.
“We are asking help from our friends, relatives and family to share their sympathy and provide donations to bring them back to Philippines,” the crowdfunding page read.
On Monday, the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the newly-wed Filipino couple from Laguna died in the Maldives while spending their honeymoon on Sunday.
The couple got married on December 18 and left Manila on January 9.
