Bus driver in UAE gets one year in jail for molesting Pinay passenger

An Egyptian bus driver in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was sentenced to one year in jail for molesting a Filipina passenger, the news site Khaleej Times said. The report on Wednesday said the incident happened as the Filipina phone operator was on her way to the Dubai Investment Park at around 9:00 a.m. in March this year. As the woman, the last passenger at that time, was about to step off the bus, the driver claimed that the door was stuck. When she insisted on being let off the bus, the driver, 35, reportedly demanded for a kiss. After the Filipina refused to give in to the driver, the driver reportedly fondled the victim and grabbed her in an indecent way. The driver of the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) will be deported after serving his sentence, the report said. The verdict is subject to appeal within 15 days. - VVP, GMA News
