Emirati student faces UAE court for raping Pinay

A 24-year-old Emirati student faced a United Arab Emirates (UAE) court on Wednesday over accusations that he raped a 38-year-old Filipina clerk last January. A report of the news site Khaleej Times said on Thursday the student denied the charges before the court. The prosecutors said the student raped the Filipina after entering her flat at around 11:00 p.m., claiming that he wanted to talk about his breakup with her former roommate, also a Filipina. As it was already late in the evening, the Filipina allegedly told the Emirati to leave 10 minutes after they had talked in the kitchen, saying she had to work the next day. However, the Emirati allegedly told her not to make him leave before grabbing her hand and pulling her closer to him. The Filipina reportedly tried to push him away as she cried hysterically. However, he overpowered her, pushed her down on the floor, and raped her after threatening to beat her up if she screamed. When the accused left, the Filipina informed her flatmates about the incident and filed a report with the police. A report of the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence showed the DNA of the semen stains found in the complainant's underwear matched with the defendant’s. - VVP, GMA News
