Maid kills child and hides body

DAMMAM — An Asian maid in her 30s confessed to murdering a child she had just given birth to in her employer’s bathroom. Spokesman for Eastern Province Police Ziyad Al-Riqayti said a police department in north Dammam received a report from a man in his 30s about the condition of the maid, who had visited the hospital with her employer recently and was revealed to have given birth.

The police department investigated the maid and found that she had an illegitimate affair with a driver who was employed by the same sponsor.

The driver had fled his employer’s house after he learned the maid was pregnant, Al-Riqayti said. The child’s body was found in the house’s storage area and was later sent to a nearby hospital where it was studied by the coroner. The maid was arrested pending further investigations.
