DFA raises alert level 3 in Gaza Strip; voluntary repatriation to take place

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has raised the crisis alert in parts of Israel to Level 3.

In a public advisory on Sunday, the DFA said it raised Alert Level 3 in the Gaza Strip, while Alert Level 1 remains for the West Bank and in southern and central Israel.

Under Alert Level 3, the DFA will be implementing voluntary repatriation for Filipinos in the area, and the government will be shouldering the expenses, said a report on Unang Balita on Monday.

The government will also stop sending Filipino workers to the area, which is currently affected by conflict between the Israeli government and the Palestinian group Hamas, it added.

At least 190 have been killed in conflict, including children, a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday also said.

Despite numerous calls for a ceasefire, Israel said it will not stop fighting against Hamas, which released a video of another alleged attack on Israel. Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/KG, GMA News
