PHL embassy in Saudi conducts 1st OV registration for 2015

Philippine officials in Saudi Arabia helped overseas Filipino workers there register for the 2016 elections with a voting registration outreach.

The first Overseas Voting Registration Outreach for 2015 was held at the Al Jazeera International School in Al Khobar Jan. 9 and 10, the embassy said in a statement.

It said the outreach team facilitated 409 new overseas voter registrations/certifications and three other OV-related services.

Some 679 consular applicants were served during the consular mission, it added.

The embassy is urging Filipinos in Saudi Arabia to register as overseas voters so they can exercise their right to suffrage. Joel Locsin/KBK, GMA News
