Demafelis family not keen on forgiving Joanna’s alleged recruiter

The family of slain OFW Joanna Demafelis on Thursday rejected Agnes Tuballes' claim that she should not be blamed for Joanna's grisly fate in Kuwait.
"Hindi kami naniniwala diyan sa mga palusot niya na 'yan," Joejet, Joanna's elder brother, said in a report by GMA News' Mariz Umali on 24 Oras. "Buti naman nagpakita siya. Dapat lang siya managot."
Tuballes surfaced on Thursday to clear her name regarding the killing of Joanna after she was tagged as a suspect in news reports.
According to Tuballes, she only referred Joanna to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Global E-Human Resources Inc., the agency that deployed Joanna to Kuwait to work as a domestic helper.
At a press briefing in Camp Crame, Tuballes apologized to the Demafelis family for what happened to Joanna, whose body was found in a freezer in an abandoned apartment earlier this month.
Police said they are not yet considering Tuballes as a suspect.
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said they are checking on information that Tuballes was really the recruiter of Joanna.
—KBK, GMA News
