Over 400 troubled Pinoys, including children, arrive from Lebanon and Kuwait

By RICHA NORIEGA, GMA News More than 400 distressed Filipinos, including children, have been repatriated from Lebanon and Kuwait, according to an official from the Department of Foreign Affairs. In a tweet on Thursday, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola said the repatriates are composed of 386 adults and 19 children. Arriola said that, at least, 124 distressed Pinoys came from Lebanon, and 281 others from Kuwait. LOOK: DFA REPATRIATES 405 DISTRESSED FILIPINOS FROM LEBANON AND KUWAIT. Earlier, the the DFA official said that a total of 394 Filipinos have been repatriated from war-troubled Ukraine. Mandatory evacuation has been in effect since the DFA raised Alert Level 4 in Ukraine on March 7 due to the deteriorating security situation that threatens the safety of Filipinos. —LBG, GMA News
