BOC eyes raps vs PAL crew for ‘unruly behavior’ Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — While no criminal charges will be filed against the 10 Philippine Airlines (PAL) crew members for bringing in 27 kilos of onions from the Middle East, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) is considering filing a complaint against them for supposedly unruly behavior. “The legal action that the BOC and Bureau of Quarantine will take is with regard to the behavior of the PAL crew members,” Customs spokesman Arnaldo dela Torre said yesterday. The airline’s crew members allegedly said they needed to destroy the onions so that these would not be used by the BOC. “They committed conduct unbecoming of employees, unethical behavior, as well as direct insult and disrespect to persons in authority,” the BOC said.
