DMW coordinating with DFA on OFW deployment ban to India

Published January 4, 2023 2:00pm The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) regarding the deployment ban of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to India, an official said Wednesday. “Sa ngayon, we are working with the DFA on this matter. Naintindihan naitn ‘yung plight ng ating mga OFWs sa India at sana ma proseso na ito sa lalong madaling panahon,” DMW undersecretary Hans Leo Cacdac said during the public briefing. (So now, we are working with the DFA on this matter. We understand the plight of our OFWs in India and hopefully, we can process this at the soonest possible time.) He said the ban stemmed from a pronouncement of the DFA. “’Yung alert level kasi bunsod sa pronouncement ng DFA. So we’re working on the DFA with this,” he said.
