She said fuel – which has not been sent to the Gaza Strip along with other humanitarian aid – is crucial. “Fuel is extremely urgent because without fuel the trucks themselves cannot move,” Alrifai said. “Without fuel the generators cannot produce electricity for hospitals, for bakeries, and for the water desalination plant.”

The Israel-Hamas war raging in Gaza entered its fourth month on Sunday as the army again pounded the besieged Palestinian territory and US top diplomat Antony Blinken was back in the region seeking to avoid a wider escalation.
