OFW in Israel shows bomb shelter used during missile alerts By GMA Integrated News

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) showed GMA Integrated News what's inside a bomb shelter that has saved lives during the Hamas rampage and missile attacks in Israel. “Bakal po talaga siya. Isasarado po namin na ganito as in ise-seal siya and then po iko-close ‘yung door then nandito po lahat meron pong ilaw dito may hangin,” the OFW said in JP Soriano’s Wednesday report on “24 Oras." (It is made entirely of steel. We seal it and here, we have light and air.) “Ang sabi po kasi sa amin as long as sarado po ang bakal safe kami,” she said. (We were told we’ll remain safe as long as the steel door is locked.) “Automatic daw po pag talagang nag close na meron daw pong lalabas na mga hangin-hangin…May inistock na po kaming tubig mga pagkain nila nandyan po sila, mga tinapay. Emergency po kumbaga, mga stock na biscuit, tulong-tulong po kami. Tapos pag tumakbo kami dito lagi po namin dala yung aming emergency kit yung may gamot,” she added. (They said air will automatically blow after we close it. We have stocked water and food here. We also bring our bags with emergency kits. We help each other here.) On Tuesday, Israeli authorities warned residents of incoming missile attacks, issuing a red-category warning over Tel Aviv. The Philippine Embassy in Israel confirmed the missile attack warnings.
