Israeli police arrest sister of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh ---ISRAEL NEWS

Israeli police on Monday arrested the sister of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, according to local media reports. Sabah Abdel Salam, 57, was arrested in the southern town of Tel Sheva, near Be'er Sheba, Israel's Kan public broadcaster reported. Married to an Israeli citizen, Mr Haniyeh's sister holds Israeli citizenship. She is accused of having "ties to a terrorist organisation" and "inciting and supporting acts of terrorism in Israel", Kan reported. She is due to appear in court later on Monday, where authorities will ask to extend her detention, it added.
