The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) of the Philippines announced that new agreements and regulations will be implemented to ensure the safety and rights of Filipino workers. Some of the new agreements include: Stricter Regulations: Recruitment agencies are required to adhere to stricter standards to ensure that OFWs are deployed to responsible employers. Worker Rights Protection: The new agreement includes stricter protections for workers' rights, ensuring proper wages and good working conditions. Safety Monitoring: Regular inspections and monitoring will be conducted to ensure that OFWs are safe and in good working conditions. Communication and Support: Mechanisms will be established for easier communication between OFWs, their families, and government agencies to promptly address any issues or needs. The reopening of Kuwait for OFWs is expected to help improve the livelihoods of many Filipinos who wish to work abroad. The DMW will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the deployment process is smooth and safe for everyone.
