Governor of Madinah in KSA, lauds Pinoy's work ethic
Overseas Filipino workers in Madinah in the Kingsom of Saudi Arabia received kudos from Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman, who was impressed with their work ethic.
Prince Faisal relayed this to Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago, who called on him last March 10 to congratulate him on his appointment as governor, Arab News reported Saturday.
"Their efficiency and hard work has contributed to the national development of both Saudi Arabia and the Philippines," Arab News quoted Prince Faisal as telling Tago.
He also said he would cooperate fully with the Philippine Embassy in addressing the concerns of Filipino workers in the region.
For his part, Tago thanked the governor for the good treatment OFWs are getting in Madinah. Most of the OFWs there are nurses and other medical workers.
Also staying in Madinah are Filipino students studying Arabic, Islamic law and theology.
Tago also expressed thanks to the Prince for the services extended to some 8,000 Filipino pilgrims who are going to Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj.
Meanwhile, Tago invited Prince Faisal to visit the Philippines.
