A new batch of 26 overseas Filipino workers, most of them male, arrived home from Saudi Arabia shortly before midnight Thursday.

The 26 were among the Filipinos who stayed at the so-called tent city outside Philippine posts in the Kingdom, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported Friday.

Of the 26, only one was female. The 26 arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 from Jeddah before midnight.

A Twitter post by Vargas showed they arrived aboard a Qatar Airways flight.

The report added the 26 were among several Filipinos who had been seeking repatriation.

Many of them said that while they were relieved to be home, they remain concerned for other OFWs who are still in the Kingdom.

They said many of these stranded OFWs are women with children. — ELR, GMA News
