Briefing on labor compensation rules set for Pinoys in Hong Kong July 7


A briefing on Hong Kong's compensation ordinance has been scheduled for Filipinos this July.

The lecture-seminar will be held at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay at 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. of July 7.
 
The briefing will feature representatives of the Hong Kong Labour Department, who will discuss Hong Kong's Labor and Employees’ Compensation Ordinance and Hong Kong employment agencies.
 
There will also be representatives from the Philippine Consulate General, including the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG.
 
"Participants will have the chance to raise their inquiries about the rights and obligations of employers and workers, employee benefits in and out of their worksite, measures to address contract violations, how to deal with employment agencies and filing appropriate complaints," the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong said in a news release.
 
OFWs who wish to attend are urged to register with the Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Section at telephone 2823-8506 and 2823-8510 or email atn1@philcongen-hk.com to reserve seats and receive labor materials from the organizers.  VVP, GMA News
