159 students in Riyadh take UPCAT
At least 159 senior high school students studying in Riyadh took the University of the Philippines College Admission Test at the Philippine Embassy Chancery at the Diplomatic Quarter last Nov. 8.
The UPCAT conducted outside the Philippines is an annual program of the UP to reach out to the children of overseas Filipino workers wanting to earn degrees in UP.
In a news release, the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia said the examinations conducted in two sessions by UP Professor Francisco Delos Reyes.
Of the 159 examinees, 99 were female while 60 were male.
The examinees in the morning session were from Palm Crest International School, Future Generation Philippine International School and Al Danah International School.
Examinees in the afternoon session were from Al Taj International School, Elite International School, Fawaq International Philippine School in Riyadh, Millennium Star International School, Riyadh International School and Second Philippine International School. — LBG, GMA News
