PAGASA: Generally good weather for most of PHL
Except for some isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, generally good weather is expected over the entire country on Monday, state weather forecasters said.
PAGASA forecaster Samuel Duran said there was neither a low-pressure area, nor any weather disturbance near the Philippine area of responsibility presently, though at least two cyclones were possible in December.
Duran said in an interview on dzBB radio that cyclones at this time of year were likely to be powerful and may affect the Visayas-Mindanao.
But for Monday, he said, "Ang tail-end of cold front pa rin ang nakakaapekto sa northern Luzon,"
Because of the cold front, Metro Manila, the Ilocos region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon can expect isolated light rain.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
For Tuesday, Duran added, the Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon can expect rain as the tail-end of a cold front intensifies. — DVM, GMA News
