PAGASA: Monsoon rain over Northern Luzon, relatively good weather ahead in NCR
Rain from the northeast monsoon may fall over parts of Northern Luzon on Friday, even as Metro Manila may expect relatively good weather in the next four days, state weather forecasters said.
PAGASA, in its 5 a.m. bulletin, said the northeast monsoon continues to affect Northern Luzon.
"The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms," it said.
Only a week ago, parts of Visayas and Southern Luzon experienced violent weather conditions brought by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
Figures from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council as of Thursday night showed Yolanda left more than 2,300 dead.
Friday outlook, extended forecast
For Friday, PAGASA said moderate to strong winds from the east to northeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas, and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to east with slight to moderate seas.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said Metro Manila may continue to enjoy relatively good weather in the next four days.
Its extended forecast for Nov. 16 and 17 showed Metro Manila may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
