Kin of OFW allegedly abused by child of employer in Kuwait asks for repatriation aid

A relative of a Filipina worker in Kuwait asked for help in repatriating the OFW after she was allegedly hurt by the child of her employer, as seen in a report GMA News' "Unang Balita" on Monday.
Bonifacia Mundo urged authorities to help after seeing a post from her cousin, Emebel Lozada, where she recounted her employer's child hitting her on the shoulder and shoving her before taking her phone.
Lozada said this was not the first time she had been abused by this person, who she feared would have her arrested through their child, a police officer.
"Umpisa pa lang daw, nagkaproblema na ya'ng si Emie. Hindi pinakain, tapos ganyan," Mundo recalled. "Ngayon, kinuha na yung cellphone niya, tapos hinampas siya."
Her cousin listed her address in the video post she made through her fellow housekeeper's phone.
Lozada was deployed to Kuwait two years ago from Surigao del Sur to help her four children and husband.
Mundo hoped authorities would respond to their plea before Lozada suffers the same fate as their sibling, who supposedly lost their sight due to abuse from their own employer in Kuwait. — Rie Takumi/RSJ, GMA News
