The Social  Security System (SSS) will draw the Member-Get-Member (MGM) Promo for OFWs to a close  in a grand raffe on Friday, September 7, at 9:30  am  at  the  Ramon Magsaysay Hall, SSS Building East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. 


Media and stakeholders are invited to witness the raffle draw and take part in the program as SSS raffles off the MGM grand prize of a vacation package for two to Boracay and P45,000 cash    to an OFW member, who successfully completed six monthly contributions from January to June 2012.


The SSS will also draw two 2nd prize winners of P30,000 each; three 3rd prize winners of P20,000 each; and ten winners of P10,000 each as consolation prizes. A special cash prize of P50,000 and a plaque of appreciation will be given to the OFW who had the highest number of OFW referrals during the MGM promo period.


A total of 54 winners have received P10,000 each during the monthly MGM raffle draws held from January to June 2012

Pixabay MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has expanded its list of medicines which are exempt from the value added tax (VAT). Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 17-2024 released by the tax bureau exempted 21 medications following the endorsement of the Food and Drug Administration. The VAT-exempted medications on the list are for conditions such as cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, kidney disease, mental illness and tuberculosis.
