Another batch of undocumented Filipinos was repatriated from Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, with 15 Filipinas arriving home, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

In a news release, the DFA said the 15 arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal I at 10:55 a.m. aboard Gulf Air flight GF 154L.

The DFA also said another batch of seven Filipinos is scheduled to arrive in Manila at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday via Gulf Air flight GF 156L.

With the second group’s arrival, the DFA said the number of Filipinos repatriated from Riyadh will reach 81.

On the other hand, the DFA said the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah has repatriated 149 Filipinos as of June 3.

The cost of repatriation was charged against the Philippine Embassy’s and Consulate’s Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) funds.

Meanwhile, the DFA said it continues with efforts to process the passports and travel documents of undocumented Filipino workers to facilitate their regularization or repatriation before the Saudi government's grace period lapses on July 3.

The DFA advised undocumented Filipinos in Saudi Arabia to visit the embassy and consulate's websites for updates regarding the Saudi government's regularization/repatriation program. - VVP, GMA News
