DFA advisory for consular services in December, January
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday reminded the public that there would be no consular services on several dates in December 2015 and January 2016 in all its offices nationwide.
In compliance with Proclamation No. 831, s. 2014 and Proclamation No. 1105, s. 2015, the DFA said there will be no passport authentication/"red ribbon," consular civil registration and other related services on the following dates:
- December 24, 2015 (Thursday) - Additional Special Non-Working Day - December 25, 2015 (Friday) - Christmas Day (Regular Holiday) - December 30, 2015 (Wednesday) - Rizal Day (Regular Holiday) - December 31, 2015 (Thursday) - Last day of the year (Special Non-Working Day) - January 1, 2016 (Friday) - New Year's Day (Regular Holiday) - January 2, 2016 (Saturday) - Additional Special Non-Working Day
The schedule will be observed in the DFA Office of Consular Affairs-Aseana and in all DFA Satellite Offices in Metro Manila and all DFA Regional Consular Offices.
In addition, all DFA Satellite Offices in the National Capital Region shall be closed on 12 December 2015.
In the meantime, those with passport-related queries may e-mail email@example.com, while those with authentication (a.k.a., “red ribbon”) queries may e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Queries related to Reports of Births, Marriages, and Deaths may be sent to email@example.com. —KBK, GMA News
