MANILA - Five Filipino seafarers went missing after a Taiwanese fishing vessel caught fire off the Falkland Islands on Monday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Thursday.
In a statement, the DFA said it "remains hopeful" that the Filipinos, who were among 69 crew members of the ship, will be found.
The Philippine Embassy in London is coordinating with UK authorities and the agency of the Filipino seafarers regarding the incident, the DFA added.
