Japan needs 300k foreign workers in health, construction, food sectors


There are 300,000 job vacancies for foreign workers in the health care, construction and food service sectors in Japan, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration has said.
According to a report on Super Radyo dzBB, Japan will start giving Type 1 and Type 2 visas for Filipino workers in April.
Type 1 visas will allow Filipinos to work in Japan for five years but without their families.
Type 2 visas holders may apply for residency status and have their families over.
The latter type is for highly skilled workers.
