Four more Pinoys onboard Diamond Princess cruise ship tested positive for nCoV

Four more Filipino sailors on board British cruise ship Diamond Princess tested positive for novel coronavirus, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Monday.
There are now five Filipinos being treated for nCoV in hospitals in Japan, the DFA said.
The four crewmembers were among the six newly-confirmed cases of the virus since the vessel was docked off the port of Yokohama, Japan on February 4.
Philippine Embassy staff and diplomats, the DFA said, are in constant communication with the Filipinos still onboard, to provide them all possible assistance.
Remaining passengers have been asked to remain onboard the ship for the required 14-day quarantine period.
Reported to have originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the virus has killed over 900 people in China, exceeding the death toll from SARS or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome in 2003.
Reports said the new virus has infected more than 40,000, of which nearly 6,500 are in critical condition.
Two fatalities outside China were recorded in the Philippines and Hong Kong. —KG, GMA News
