Licensure exams for Pinoy teachers in Hong Kong set in March 2013

Philippine officials in Hong Kong will conduct a Special Professional Board Examination for teachers there on March 10 next year.
The Philippine Overseas Labor Office under the Philippine Consulate General said the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) will conduct the examination.
"Since this is a rare opportunity for teachers to take the licensure examination in Hong Kong without the need of spending more money to take the examination in the Philippines, Labor Attaché (Manuel) Roldan encourages all qualified teachers working in Hong Kong to apply and take the examination," the Consulate General said on its website (http://www.philcongen-hk.com/media/2012/news111512.htm).
PRC Chairperson Teresita Manzala disclosed the commission's decision to hold the exams to Roldan last Oct. 22.
Manzala said the Board of Professional Teachers and the PRC Licensure Examination Office favorably considered the request of NOPTI-Hong Kong for the Licensure Examination of Teachers (LET) in Hong Kong.
NOPTI Officers and volunteers started to accept and pre-screen the applications for Board Examination since November 4 at the Philippine Consulate General.
They will continue to accept applications every Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Applications can also be submitted to the office of the Labor Attaché at the Philippine Consulate during office hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The deadline for the submission of applications will be on January 11, 2013.
