In an interview with GMA News,  Albert Dayanan, a construction worker, said he sustained an injury after the Egyptian, a master foreman, punched him in the face.

Dayanan said the Egyptian punched him after he did not answer right away to his call as he was busy with his own work.

Dayanan was rushed to the hospital after the incident.

Last week, personnel from the consulate's Assistance to National accompanied Dayanan to the police so he can file a complaint against his foreman.

But Dayanan said he has already agreed to a settlement as he feared losing his job if he pursues the case. He said the Egyptian agreed to pay him.

Their employers also have promised disciplinary action against the Egyptian. —Ronaldo Concha/KBK, GMA News
