PHL Embassy in UK closed April 2, 3, 6, 9

The Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom will be closed on four days in April due to Philippine and UK holidays.

In an announcement on its website, the embassy said it will be closed April 2, 3, 6, and 9.

Among the holidays the embassy will be closed are:

- April 2, Thursday: Maundy Thursday, Philippine regular holiday
- April 3, Friday: Good Friday, Philippine regular holiday
- April 6, Easter Monday, UK holiday
- April 9, Thursday: Araw ng Kagitingan, Philippine regular holiday.

Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, April 7; and Friday, April 10.

However, in case of death or detention of a Filipino in the UK, the embassy can be contacted via emergency mobile phone at 078-0279-0695. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News

The Israel-Hamas war raging in Gaza entered its fourth month on Sunday as the army again pounded the besieged Palestinian territory and US top diplomat Antony Blinken was back in the region seeking to avoid a wider escalation.
