Pinay allegedly slain by sponsor's son in Saudi Arabia – report
A 31-year-old Filipina domestic helper was allegedly slain by her sponsor's son in March for yet to be determined reasons, Arab News reported on Saturday.
Identified as Faidza Utos Kilo, the OFW was attacked by the perpetrator along with her sponsor, who allegedly handed a picture of Kilo to another Filipino while receiving treatment at a hospital, the report said.
The other OFW then posted the image on Facebook, where it received nearly 48,000 shares. According to the poster, the perpetrator recently returned from abroad and had mental health issues.
Bombo Radyo correspondent Boyet Forro said on Friday that the suspect was allegedly under the influence of drugs when he stabbed the victim in the back.
The station also reported that the family of Kilo at Kabuntalan Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao underwent counseling and debriefing with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration - Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Kilo's body will undergo autopsy at a hospital morgue in Saudi Arabia.
