PHL Embassy in London leaves contact info for Independence Day weekend

The Philippine embassy in London will be closed from Friday to Sunday, the Philippine Independence Day weekend.

In an announcement on its website, the embassy advised this is due to Presidential Proclamation No. 831 in 2014, declaring June 12 a holiday.

"Regular office hours will resume on Monday, 15 June 2015," it said.

But it said that in case of death or detention of a Filipino citizen in the United Kingdom, the embassy can be contacted via its emergency mobile phone at 078-0279-0695. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
