OFWs can avail of online services — OWWA

Filipinos working abroad can now pay their monthly contributions to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) through the Land Bank of the Philippines' (LBP) new ePayment Portal (ePP).
“This collaboration with LBP is envisioned to provide OWWA members with faster and more accessible means of renewing their membership to ensure their protection while working overseas," OWWA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac said in a statement on Thursday.
Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III and LBP Senior Vice President Liduvino S. Geron signed the agreement for the service at the Department of Labor and Employment in Intramuros, Manila on Thursday.
Through ePP, OFWs may transact or pay their OWWA membership contributions online through any payment options offered by the bank.
Filipinos abroad may also use the first e-payment portal provided by OWWA to track their online funds for "accountability and fraud prevention."
"We, at OWWA, believe that we should use the available technology to our advantage, that is why we are working hard to integrate it in our programs to enhance service delivery to our OFW-clients,” Cacdac said.  Rie Takumi/BAP, GMA News
