Family fears missing OFW in Kuwait may end up like Joanna Demafelis

Another Filipino worker has been reported missing in Kuwait by her relatives in the Philippines, GMA News' Mariz Umali reported on Balitanghali on Wednesday.
Russel Diarisco Salome went to Kuwait in October 2016 and was able to contact and send remittance to her husband and three children in Pasig a month later.
When Diarisco stopped calling six months ago, her family sought assistance from her recruitment agency, Tiffany, which was able to locate her in Kuwait but reported that she was uncommunicative.
"Pinapauwi siya pero hindi siya nagsasalita, ma'am. Parang natatakot siya," Diarisco's brother said.
The agency's report made the family suspect that Diarisco was being drugged by her employer.
"Humihingi kami ng tulong para matulungan kami. Kahit wala nang pera padala basta makauwi lang 'yung anak namin," said Diarisco's mother Lolita.
Diarisco's family fears that she might end up like Joanna Demafelis, the OFW whose body was found in a freezer in an abandoned apartment unit in Kuwait two weeks ago.
The Diarisco family went to Demafelis' wake in Sara, Iloilo, to extend their sympathy as well as to talk to Philippine labor officials regarding their missing relative in Kuwait. —KBK, GMA News
