OFWs in Saudi Arabia advised to renew passports with validity of 9 months or less

The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah is reminding Filipinos in Saudi Arabia to check the validity of their passports and have it renewed if its validity is only nine months or less.
According to Consul RJ Sumague, they have received information that Saudi General Directorate for Passport (Jawazat) no longer recognizes extension stamps.
Sumague passport renewal could last up to 45 days.
Meanwhile, Sumague said the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah is not implementing the appointment system for the meantime. Applicants are being accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis. —Ronaldo Concha/KBK, GMA News
