Some Pinoys in HK to greet Duterte visit with rally

Several Filipinos in Hong Kong will mark President Rodrigo Duterte's visit there on Thursday with a protest rally, according to a report on Balitanghali on Monday.
Some of the issues they will raise to the President are the Overseas Employment Certificate, which many OFWs want scrapped; the difficult process of refunding the terminal fee paid by OFWs; and the lengthy application process for passports.
According to pro-OFW group Migrante, the rally will also tackle the increased tax rates in the Philippines, the rampant killings and human rights abuses.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong is preparing for a gathering between Duterte and some 2,000 Filipinos there.
Before Hong Kong, Duterte will be in China first to speak before a business forum and to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He left the country on Monday afternoon. —KBK, GMA News
