Leader of pro-Duterte group wants Bello out of DOLE

The leader of a pro-Duterte group on Monday called for the resignation of Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III after he allegedly refused to help an OFW bring home her nine-month-old child from Saudi Arabia.
"Secretary Bello, alam mo sa sarili mo ‘yan, hindi ka karapat-dapat diyan dahil wala kang puso, dahil wala kang malasakit sa mga tao. Alam mo ‘yan, huwag kang magpapogi," Allie Dizon, secretary general of Kilusang Pagbabago National Movement for Change, said at a press briefing.
She threatened to bare more of Bello's supposed illegal activities if he will not vacate his position.
"Dapat mag-resign na po siya, graceful exit na lang Secretary Bello dahil kung hindi po marami pa akong isisiwalat. Sabi n’yo magpa-lie detector test tayo, oras mismo!" she said.
She also linked Bello to the alleged corruption activities of former Labor undersecretary Dominador Say as accused by a recruiter who earlier met with President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Very ostensibly from the affidavit Azziza Salim is the fact that say being a subordinate of Secretary Bello, he could not have done the dastardly act of extortion without Bello’s actual participation, approval, or knowledge of the wrongdoing,” Dizon’s complaint read.
She added Bello is the approving authority to uphold or reverse or remand appealed cases elevated to his office pertaining to recruitment licenses which are cancelled  or suspended by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
Bello, in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV, just shrugged off Dizon's accusation, saying it may be linked to his application to be the country's next Ombudsman replacing the retiring Conchita Carpio Morales.
He challenged his accusers to produce a DOLE employee or official who can prove that he is corrupt.
"Pag nakakita sila, magre-resign ako," he said. —KBK, GMA News
