JEDDAH — The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah on Friday said no Filipinos were hurt in the foiled missile attack in Najran city on Wednesday.
"Wala po dapat ipag-alala at safe po ang ating mga kababayan na nagtatrabaho sa ospital malapit sa pinagbagsakan ng mga debris," said Consul General Edgar Badajos.
Badajos said Filipino community leader Fayes Mailao had assured him that all 7,850 Filipinos in Najran are safe.
Badajos reminded Filipinos in Najran and the 30,000 others in the neighboring cities of Jizan and Khamis-Mushayt to always be vigilant, noting that the southern region is frequently being targeted by ballistic missiles being launched from neighboring Yemen. —Ronaldo Concha/KBK, GMA News
