PHL Congen in HK hiring added personnel for overseas voting registration

Philippine officials in Hong Kong are beefing up the personnel involved in overseas voting registration for the 2016 elections.

The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong on Wednesday announced a "future opening" for a "project term personnel" for the OVR.

In a post on its Facebook page, the Consulate General said the contract will last up to three months, subject for renewal, with a monthly salary of HK$7,650.

However, the final hiring will depend on the "final authority" from the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Prospective personnel can send their resumes to the Consulate General's cultural section via email at cultural_hk@yahoo.com. They have until May 31 to submit their resumes.

The prospective personnel are to assist in information dissemination on the OVR, and in increasing awareness of OVR via promotional activities and events. They will be also tasked to prepare OVR materials and assist in the registration process.

Applicants must be Filipino citizens, computer-literate, and proficient in data encoding and have "excellent" customer service skills. They should also be Hong Kong residents or holders of a valid Hong Kong visa.

The Consulate General started the OVR May 7, and reminded OFWs who want to register as overseas voters for the 2016 elections to bring their passports. Joel Locsin/KBK, GMA News
