The man who was serving seven consecutive life sentences in prison for killing seven people, including Filipina Kathleen Ping, has died inside the California State Prison in Sacramento.
A state correctional officer announced Wednesday that 50-year-old One Goh died on March 28. His cause of death has not been released.
On April 2, 2012, Goh unleashed a barrage of gunshots inside the Oikos University in Oakland, fatality shooting 24-year-old Ping, a receptionist, and six students.
Authorities said Goh was furious at school administrators for expelling him and refusing to refund his tuition.
In 2015, a Superior Court judge wrote that Goh suffered from schizophrenia, severe depression and a delusional disorder, and was mentally unfit to stand trial.
Ping was her family's breadwinner and she left behind a young son.
