The remains of two Filipinas who were killed by a serial killer in Cyprus arrived in the Philippines on Saturday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.

In a statement, the DFA said the remains of Marry Rose Infante and Maricar Arquiola were received in Manila by their closest relatives, together with some Foreign Affairs officials.
“The DFA, through the Philippine Embassy in Athens, continues to monitor the case of the last Filipina victim, Arian Palanas Lozano, as to when her remains will be repatriated,” it said.
Between 2017 and 2018, three Filipinas—one of whom was with her daughter—were reported missing in Cyprus.
The bodies of the victims' remains were discovered just this year.
Investigation revealed that the Filipinas were killed by a by a self-confessed killer who happens to be an officer of the Cyprus National Guard.
The killer was sentenced seven life imprisonment terms last month after pleading guilty to killing five women, including the three Filipinas, and two children. —Joviland Rita/LBG, GMA News
