MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday said the remains of a Filipino worker who was killed in a mortar attack in Baghdad's Green zone would arrive this week.
DFA spokesperson Claro Cristobal identified the victim as 32-year-old Jonasis Saguid of Paco, Manila. He was killed last Friday in a mortar attack in the heavily-guarded US facility in Iraq.
According to Cristobal, two other Filipino workers were injured in the incident, but "both are now out of danger."
Saguid's remains are scheduled to arrive in Kuwait Monday afternoon, and will be flown back to the Philippines on Tuesday.
