51-year-old Pinay nurse shot dead by boyfriend in Florida

A US-based Filipina nurse was shot dead by her American boyfriend in Clearwater City, Florida, last Easter Sunday (Monday in the Philippines), reports said.

A report on Tampa Bay Times said Josephine Austria, 51, was shot during a birthday party at her home in the Countrypark subdivision.

The suspect was identified as Alexander Richardson, 24, who has already been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

A separate report on ABC Action News said police are still determining the circumstances that lead to the shooting.

It said Richardson was arrested after he told someone at a gas station, where he went after the shooting, that he had shot his girlfriend.

The reports said Austria suffered a gunshot wound on the head.

The couple was hosting a birthday party for a friend when the shooting occurred, according to areport on wfla.com. — KBK, GMA News
