Filipino babysitter detained in Alaska over alleged sexual abuse --- By DAVE LLAVANES JR.

NEW YORK CITY — A Filipino babysitter is currently detained in Alaska after he was arrested over alleged sexual abuse of a minor. Danel John Santos, 27 years old and a native of Pampanga, is currently detained at the Anchorage Correctional Complex after being arrested by the Police Crime Against Children Unit (CACU). The Anchorage Police Department is urging other possible victims of the suspect, who is facing three counts of sexual abuse of a minor, to come out and help in the investigation. Police said Santos works as a childcare provider. According to information released by the Anchorage Police Department, he has been employed in this capacity for six years, raising concerns that he may have additional victims. CACU detectives said they are aware of more than one victim and believe there may be more. The current charges against Santos are related to victims known to him through his babysitting jobs. The Anchorage Police Department in Alaska said in an advisory that they have also released the photo of Santos for other victims to identify. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
