The University of Baguio and the US-based company, Insight Global Health, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Wednesday to enrich the skills of Filipino nurses and make them globally competitive. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Department of Migrant Workers, which welcomed the partnership. “This collaboration embodies the principles we cherish—fairness, respect, and the pursuit of excellence—ensuring that our Filipino nurses are not merely contributors to global healthcare but also ambassadors of our nation,” said DMW Undersecretary for Policy and International Cooperation Patricia Yvonne Caunan. Under the partnership, Filipino nurses and healthcare faculty will receive skills development training in addition to collaborations for US training and curriculum sharing. “The MOU reflects our collective commitment to diversity, promoting mutual respect, and harnessing the power of collaboration to address the challenges and opportunities that transcend national borders,” said University of Baguio Vice President for Administration Atty. Rommel Ayson. – Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated
