John Garcia, 20, left the Philippines when he was four and lived on Anglesey in Wales for 16 years but never applied for British citizenship.

On Monday, he was sent back to his homeland where he knows no relative, and without a livelihood source to sustain his daily needs.

Known to his friends as JR, Garcia can barely remember the country of his birth, and does not speak her language.

Garcia was deported for breaching an Anti-Social Behavior Order. He has a string of convictions for burglary, theft and possessing drugs, icWales said in its Sunday online edition.

Garcia spent 11 months in detention while awaiting his deportation. He lost two appeals to immigration tribunals. He considered his deportation a human rights issue for forcing him to live in a country where he has nowhere to stay and without money to spend or a job to earn a living.

Garcia moved to Anglesey when his mother married a Welshman, John Glover, when he was four years old. His stepfather died a few years ago. His mother, a Filipina, did not marry his American father. - GMANews.TV
