Surgery Dates Requiring Pre-Cataract Surgery Authorization

In order to facilitate the process of securing pre-cataract surgery  authorization, all transactions shall be done electronically and shall be complied to by all Institutional Healthcare Providers (IHCPs) conducting cataract surgery. The pre-cataract surgery authorization module can be access only through the IHCP Portal.
To give IHCPs ample time to prepare for the electronic transaction process, such as installation of IHCP Portal and getting acquainted with the module, the approved authorization request shall now be required for cataract surgeries to be performed on June 1, 2013 and onwards. This is to amend a previous advisory requiring the approved request for surgeries scheduled on May 15, 2013 onwards. The pre-cataract surgery authorization module shall automatically be activated for IHCPs that have access to IHCP Portal and may start sending their requests beginning May 1, 2013.
For instruction on how to use the module, please contact your PhilHealth Regional Office.
